Kearns news is little surprising since it was said he wanted to play for a contender and we have Petersen,Goryks,Silverio as backup OF BUT with reports coming out that LoMo might not be ready for the start of the season they could always sign Kearns and play him at 1B?

Capps tho isn't,they still want a veteran RP and are still looking at Farnsworth/Moylan/Capps.The big issue they seem to be having and the reason why no one has signed yet is because most of them are looking for a 2 yr deal or even a 1 year with option. We are looking to sign a "injured" guy for cheap and hope he can do something for us. Someone will sign eventually for 1 year tho as soon as ST rolls around

Not that I care whether or not Farnsworth signs here, but this reasoning makes no sense.

Why are we automatically out when the rumors haven't even specified the 3 teams yet?

If the article said: he's still thinking about 10 teams, we wouldn't be out anymore?
