Could you imagine us talking about Cody Bellinger and $5m being traded for Cody Poteet 1-1 a few years ago? That is hilarious.

If he took the time to just talk about trades for prospects and how we could build up the team via trades for cost controlled prospects, i'd be fine with it, but it's like the guy looking at $3 million houses on zillow who is unemployed with $47 dollars to his name. It's constantly the most convoluted scenarios where we end up taking on huge salaries, sometimes then saying we will offload those salaries in separate trades. All this as if this team has show any indication that they will ever do something like that.

That, on top of the constant posts literally every single year during the season about how the future would look good if we just sign one of the top free agents to a 5 year 100-120 million deal despite the team making it abundantly clear that will never happen under Sherman. It's just so unnecessarily repetitive, which would be fine if it had any fucking chance of actually happening. It's almost every single post for years, and it has 0 chance of happening.

Because, you feel the need to chime in on things you don't know about and the proof is in you 100% didn't read it as your response was not factually accurate. So you typed a post talking shit when you didn't read the post you were talking shit about, and ignoring the irony of my response in saying the next few words - what is exactly the waste of time here?
I read your post, it’s the same post you’ve made for 5 years with different names interchanged. It’s always the marlins taking on a huge salary to get a better return, sometimes with the caveat that they then unload that salary elsewhere. Sometimes it’s to keep Correa, other times it’s to take Bumgarner off arizonas hand. Its not a novel concept, and you’ve posted the same thing for years despite me telling you repeatedly and the team showing you every year that they have no intention of thinking outside the box and taking an even 1% risk that they are stuck with that money till the contract ends. How you still don’t see that is beyond me. They aren’t spending money. It can’t be made any more clear to you. Every year it’s the same 9 paragraphs and depth chart with absurd scenarios where they spend on a major free agent or trade for a guy with a huge salary. And then there is 0 reflection of how you are consistently misguided about what this team is clearly planning on doing, followed by you just changing the year the team is “circling”, followed by switching the names of the high priced guys they can trade for or sign in free agency. You’re not splitting fucking atoms and coming up with novel concepts. You just don’t realize after 5 years of posting the same thing that this team will never do any of those kinds of moves under Sherman.

I genuinely don't understand why you choose to be such a jerk in your responses? Again, this is respectfully solely your problem as you start all of this always and further clear evidence that no, you don't read most things on this board and just come here to yell into the air so you feel heard and get whatever release is happening here. How you don't see that I fully understand that they will incredibly likely not make a grand move (that they need of course) which has been mentioned hundreds of time and you continue to ignore, yet, you still feel the need post this same response of yelling into the air that you are holier than though when you have 0 reflection about what is happening here (i.e., posting about baseball on a baseball message board as we frankly do not have much to talk about with these numskulls in charge). Additionally, you are not the arbiter of anyone's time in the world. If you don't want to chat or prefer certain content, there is a very simple solution. You suggest Namaste ignore you, how about take some of your own advice? When I see completely terrible Fansided, Bleacher report, SI, MLBTR, and all these other glorified fan blog articles/comments that have completely insane baseball analysis and takes, I ignore it. If you feel the same way? Great. It's not going to impact me whatsoever. I have an interest in trying to see how things could work even in hypothetical scenarios. Am I not allowed to have 1% optimism either that maybe they will surprise us one day? Sue me. I think I speak for everyone here where it would be great for you to just chill out. Misery loves company and I get you are disappointed with the Marlins - we all are and I bet others more so than you - but you gotta take a chill pill with what is effectively, a personal attack about a fucking post about the Cubs wanting Luzardo.

            • This was you talking about Adames just a few months ago.
Detroit is probably the only threat for Adames as the Dodgers will likely prefer Kim. So they have to beat Detroit and have a geographic advantage as Atlanta, San Diego, and San Fran have better FA targets? And if the Dodgers go Rojas/cheap because their payroll is massive... So the Marlins get Adames or Kim as no one else is spending money? This is a perfect storm brewing for Miami to not cheap out based on pretty much every angle.

                  • Rumors are Luzardo to the Cubs is dead. The team leaves seem to suggest Mish may have been right on this one with the Cubs trying to buy low.

In other news, apparently the Twins are listening to offers on Pablo Lopez. It’ll be super depressing to see them get a nice return for him.

                    • Does anyone else worry about Edwards being so reliant on having a ridiculously high BABIP?

I think he will end up being what people thought Brujan would be. A good enough glove to fill in at 4 or 5 spots with no pop and more of a super sub instead of a locked in starter.

His BABIP will go down and he’ll still be an effective player due to stolen base ability, drawing walks, and I think he has a little more pop than what he showed in the bigs last year not saying he’s going to all of a sudden be hitting 15-20 HRs, but I think 7-10 is reasonable for him, with an uptick in doubles as well.

                        • We signed our 9th major league free agent in 4 years. Only 1 of them wasn’t a complete disaster, and that was soler whose first year was a disaster. Shockingly it wasn’t a huge long term contract like Willy adames.
