  • Apparently Caba is the prize, a top Phillies prospect and top 100 in baseball. The other guy is a speedy A-ball OF from reports.

    • Seems fine. Ss of the future, more speed and no power. We have no power in the system whatsoever

          • I remember getting shit when it was beyond obvious when they traded Arraez that they were going into an enormous rebuild.

            • I don’t plan on watching a single game pitch or inning this year.

Who and who is what you get for a guy who has thrown over 100 innings in a season twice, was very hurt in 2024 and layed an egg in a rare Marlins post season start. Top 100 FV 50 SS and a lottery ticket seems about right.

You don’t want to watch a lineup anchored by Xavier Edwards and Jonah bride and one of the lowest payrolls in baseball?

And possibly a worse injury than we know, as well. This is a big drop off from an MLB ready outfielder from the Cubs.

More so further from being major league ready than a big drop off potential wise. It’s just the usual bendix move of trading for a guy 2+ years away. The guy has potential to be a great ss though which they desperately needed

You didn’t have to trade him.

                            Keep him until the deadline

I think they got pretty good value for him. It’s just super far away

Caba could be good but he’s so far away. Boyd does very little for me. He’s young, but hasn’t shown much yet in the minor leagues as far as production goes, and scouting reports say his defense is suspect.
