What most people think is the most reprehensible part is that Loria is a total coward. He was front and center last year, Mr Big Shot, going here and there, signing players and negotiating with all the top free agents.

He was there for the Guillen signing, and for the Reyes, Buerhle and Bell signings. He was counting Guillen's f-bombs on Showtime.

So where is the coward now ? Wasn't there for Redmond's signing, and wasn't anywhere to be seen except for a couple of sightings at the Chicago owners meetings and certainly had almost nothing to say. He sent Beinfest & Samson to the wolves on radio & TV, but the wuss was no where to be seen.

Getting back to Reyes and Buehrle, lets see if Loria sues them for Libel / Slander. Because certainly it could be imagined that their words now have hurt his ability to sign free agents and have hurt his ability to conduct business. If he doesn't sue them I think it can be assumed that they are truthtelling.

    Uhhhhhhhh

Dude, you are so bitter. Did you suck on a sour lemon for lunch?

        Because you're clearly bitter.

So it's weird what you did there.

Beef, look at these quotes from Delgado's agent

“With the current trade between the Marlins & Blue Jays, the deal I negotiated with the Marlins in 2004 for Carlos looks even better. When the Marlins refused to include a ‘no trade’ clause (back then), I insisted that they agree to unique language that gave Carlos some protection in the event of a trade.

“The deal I negotiated contained a guarantee that if he was traded to a team that resided in a state that had a state income tax, the team he was traded to would make him whole.”

In other words he would net out the same amount he would have received had he remained in Florida, a state with NO state income tax. This had NEVER been done in MLB before. BTW, the amount Delgado saved on a contract signed EIGHT years ago is roughly $2,269,500.

“The agents for Jose’ Reyes (Peter Greenberg, now part of Legacy Group), Mark Buehrle (CAA Jeff Berry), Josh Johnson (Sosnick/Cobbe), Emilio Bonifacio (Paul Kinzer who was recently fired from Wasserman Sports), John Buck (Aces) didn’t protect their clients as well as I protected Delgado. They will literally pay the price for being represented by agents who do a better job of recruiting Players than they do of representing them.”

Also, Buehrle's probably mad about his dog.
So the terms of their contract won't be fulfilled ? If you are referring to taxes that is another matter. They will still be paid as the terms of that contract state.

Buehrle may be more angry about moving his family now for a 2nd time in a year.

I'm sure "being paid as the terms of that contract state" makes them not angry about all the fucking money they're losing.

They didn't lose a dime last year, even with that payroll.

The rebranding made them almost as much as that payroll before a ticket, beer, parking spot or hot dog was ever sold.

I understand from a business way why it was done. They needed people to be excited enough to go out and by new jersey's, t-shirts, caps ect with the new rebranding. Because had they not done that do you think they would have sold even half of what they did ?

But with the new revenue streams from concessions, parking, etc and add the rebranding clothing sales they made a shitload of money. That wouldn't happen this year, because everyone already has those items, so they needed to shed payroll. I get that. It was just the way it was done was so cold and impersonal, and in the case of some of the players, unfeeling as well.

Does anyone really care that these players are losing a couple million? Really sucks for them but who cares it's completely.
