Yes. Because the team is going to lose. If the team starts winning (which it won't because it sucks, but just for hypothetical purposes for your scenario), fans would start coming again.

You know what our attendance would've been if Reyes, JJ, Buehrle, Bonifacio and Buck would've stayed and the team would've lost like it did last year? Probably last.

I never said fans didn't care. They care. They care so much that they'll show up when the team wins, regardless of the owner, because that's what fans do.
