I'm with the Godfather on this.
IF we had someone new coming in here and was all "I'm cleaning house like a motherfucker on crack", then this trade would certainly interest me.
Now? It's just same old shit.
The fact we got so little in return is just amazing. Why do the Marlins LOVE packed deals? So many times we've asked if they could have gotten more if we traded guys individually rather than as a packaged deal, and here it is again.

I don't like how it seems they were extremely lazy about it, but I'm perfectly fine with all the players being traded. Would've been cool to keep Reyes but whatever. Instead of winning 75 next year, we can win 55 and get the 1st pick in the draft so cool.

But does getting rid of Beinfest mean anything if Loria remains?
Loria is the problem. But Loria is the owner, and that is a problem.

Same thing with Oakland disgruntled about Hanley - we offered them a better player, but they wanted to dump more money so they went with the Dodgers.
It is 100% slash and burn, clear it all out.
I'm not excited even if this is a new GM.
The next day I get excited as a Marlins "fan" is when Loria, or his estate, sell the team.
