God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

I took family to tonight's game. Glad that they got to really see everything there was to see at a Marlins game: Dominant JJ performance, HR sculpture go off, Marlins win.

I like the idea of giving Solano sometime too at 2b with Stanton still out. Boni can play center with Ruggiano in right.

Solano played a lot of 2B.

                    Isn't Solano's natural position @ 2b?

                      366 minor league games at shortstop, 173 at 3B, 127 at 2B

so, yeah, 127 games is "a lot," but it's a third of what he played at short and still less than what he played at third

The move from short to second is trivial.

and, fuck it, 5 if you count hanley

i've never seen a team just put players in unnatural positions so willy-nilly

It's not like we are butchering the positions. Our D is not a problem. It was for a small stretch but out of position has nothing to do with why we suck ass.

I think (hope) it's a moot point where Solano plays and our long-term IF is set as Hanley-Reyes-Bonifacio-LoMo come August 1.

We've opened up a spot for Ruggiano in 2013, we spend some money on a middle of the order-type bat, and I'm really in on this team. That infield, JJ-Buehrle and Stanton is a nice core (an expensive core, but a nice core). If Turner finds his velocity again, I really like what we've got.
