I feel bad for Ashraf. He actually responded in a serious manner.

      Okay "Erick"
      --------------------
Hanley is more interested lately of how his swing looks on a missed swing than connecting with the actual ball. Dude threw in the towel once he got paid. He's lazy, flat out lazy.

Hanley won the batting title after he signed his extension, right? Am I remembering the timeline?

I believe he signed it in May of that year.

          For observation purposes:

          March/April: .289/.349/.461
          May: .359/.445/.621
          June: .370/.413/.593
          July: .342/.412/.539
          August: .395/.448/.544
          September: .273/.373/.475
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

He signed his contract for seasons 2009-2014. In 2009 and 2010 he had a OPS of .903.

My mistake, he signed it in May of 2008.

Beinfest called this a "restructuring." Said team began taking/making calls after the Cubs series. Sweep by Pirates just a "cherry on top"

What kind of money/years is a guy like Anibal good for next season ? We weren't going to pay it likely right ?

                    • At 28 and, depending on Greinke/Hamels, either the third, second or best FA pitcher, 4 years seems like a lock, may get 5.

One scout in attendance estimates there are about 15 scouts at the #Marlins game tonight to watch Josh Johnson pitch. He's as good as gone!
