1 issue with trading for impending FA's is you can't get compensation for them anymore unless they are with you all year.

In other words the Yankees would be fine trade 2 or 3 prospects for him and if he left they would get 2 picks back, now they trade prospects for him and if he leaves they get 0.

If we keep him and he leaves we can get a COMP pick at the end of Rd 1

      Hanley especially.
Eh, I don't want Johnson being moved, either.

If teams would offer for him what they will for Grienke,Garza or Shields we might look into dealing him. But they aren't so don't really worry bout it

I wouldn't be completely opposed if he brought us an Ace's ransom. He's not young anymore and has an extensive injury history. Selling high isn't a bad thing.

General public would flip shit though.

General public would probably flip shit and yell fire sale if we trade Anibal Sanchez, lol.

I did not know that. Thanks. I think that could change things now.

The Rangers could be a good trade destination for Sanchez. I know they were interested in Hamels earlier.

The bolded part is precisely why he won't bring in an ace's ransom and is more valuable to us than pretty much anyone else. That's why I don't really wanna deal him.

Season ticket sales next year are going to be brutal. This was a critical season for this team and it went in the shitter. I know one thing for sure, I will be a Stub Hub guy next year, so that's one down the drain.

I don't think they'd be selling high, at this point. The same can be said for a lot of players; most of the team has underachieved.

In JJs case, he's had had a handful of terrible starts after being close to flawless on the mound for three years. He may not be at the peak of his value but he's close.

If a team wants to blow a handful of poor starts out of proportion, they can suck all of our dicks.

If we get a nice return I'd move Anibal and JJ in a heartbeat.

I'd move anyone in the organization if the price was right.
