  • Buster Olney: Every Player Available, Even Stanton

If there is any truth to this, it's going to be really, really bad.

    Per MLBtraderumors:

The Marlins will be willing to discuss every player on their roster, including Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Johnson and Omar Infante, if they decide to sell, Olney writes.

Here is the link to the original story, that is ESPN insider only: http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog?...ade-market-mlb

Why is this bad ? This is great. We have no farm system and this disaster of a team isn't winning anything. I'm hoping for this. Let's at least suck and have future, not suck and have no future.

I am very opposed to trading Stanton under any circumstances.

I don't think there is too much to see here. Every team that sells is willing to discuss any player on its roster. It is silly not to. It doesn't mean that Stanton is a goner.

The chances of Stanton going anywhere are about .0000000000000001%. I'm not worried.

This season has been so depressing. I filled out my season ticket holder survey and said I won't be coming back until Hanley is traded. That was my only comment.

This is the best news of the season so far.

I'm sure the Stanton thing is a lot of nothing. I don't see anything wrong with listening. No player should be untouchable.

I hope they can get rid of Reyes. I don't want his one tool talent here anymore. what a waste of fucking money.

I didn't want to pay Reyes that much money either, but it's year one. Do you really think he is going to play like this every year of his contract? Have patience.

Adding to the Olney story,IF they start selling don't expect to see any of the new guys or Stanton dealt

The talk is that we are calling around about Ricky Nolasco,Omar Infante,Greg Dobbs,Randy Choate,Gaby Sanchez,Chris Coghlan to gauge the market on them,

JJ is on thin ice to however with the SP market having tons of names on it(Grienke,Shields,Vargas,Colon,Guthrie,Nolasco) don't expect him to be moved.

I'm down with them trading anyone except Stanton.
                          Hanley especially.

Number one player I see gone is Anibal Sanchez. Doesn't look like they plan on resigning him.
