Impossible to know "where" we are in our budget, and how/if it changes for 2013. If we're at the ceiling and it won't improve for next season, no, don't deal Hand because then the rotation next year is going to look like super-crap. If we'll still have money to spend, yeah, why not. This team's not just one bat away though, and I don't know if dealing the only guy that's kind of close to big league ready is a good idea, even if it ultimately results in a talent upgrade.

I'd agree if he had shown any improvement in regards to his BB/9.
The guy just walks way too many people to be a consistent Major League starter. Maybe it improves, maybe it doesn't, but if we're counting on Brad Hand to fill a rotation spot next year, we're in trouble.

I wonder if they wanted a package involving Hand for both Span and The Hammer or just for one of them.

Tulo just went on the DL and should be out about 6 weeks and the Rockies are almost 20 games below .500.
I know it's an extremely far fetch, but why not try and solve our CF problem once and for all and try to acquire CarGo?
What could be requested for a player of his caliber?
One of Yelich/Fernandez + Ozuna, etc.
