That specific example sucks, flum, and I agree with you in general.

But, considering that:

1) The Heat are in the championship series, something Marlin fans haven't seen in nine years
2) The Marlins are, seemingly most of the time, absolutely awful to watch and are allergic to the month of June
3) The Marlins themselves play clips of the Heat game on the titantron to pump the crowd

I don't think the team should be getting mad at fans. If situations were reversed, I'd expect that people would be watching Marlin playoff games during Dolphin/Heat regular season games

I agree for the most part. I don't think that it's really a particularly big deal in this instance given what's at stake for the Heat (that they were in the playoffs and are now playing for the championship).

The fans in South Florida suck, though, and somehow they need to learn how to not suck. So, ultimately, I guess I don't really have a problem with someone essentially telling them "point of etiquette: don't exclusively cheer for another in-town team while essentially ignoring the one in front of you."

Having said that, I wouldn't be at all disappointed if the entire Clevelander booed Heath Bell for the rest of the season (either for sucking so bad or just for having said what he did). At least they would be engaged.
