His title makes me sad. Please change it.

      Still early but somewhat concerning:

K'ing a lot while not walking much. It's not like he is getting unlucky either. His BABIP is at his career average. Only a 10% LD rate. Mostly just don't like him not walking as much as he usually does.

He's been pretty bad since last years second half. Tr305 didn't say it artfully, but we could probably upgrade him (Gaby) without much effort.

#Marlins 1B Gaby Sanchez was charged with the error, but SS Jose Reyes fell on the sword for the defensive misplay that led to the #Nationals' 3-2, 10-inning win: "“I need to make that play. I think I took my eye off the ball at the last moment…I’m better than that. In that situation, we came back in the ninth inning and tied the game so we felt very good about ourselves then we lost the game like that. It’s not acceptable.”

Is there a twitter quote that would explain his lack of offensive production since the all star break of last season?

.679 post ASB OPS last year (.320/.359).

                            .593 OPS right now (.260/.333).

I mean, Coghlan's the chic guy to hate on, but he's exceeded those numbers in every month he's gotten 100+ AB's but one, (May 2011, which also happens to be his last 100 AB + month, but still). I'm not calling for benching Gaby right now, but I'd say Logan to 1B has to happen sooner than later.

Gaby also had a bad second half in 2010 and fixed it last year, temporarily at least. I'm all for upgrading Gaby if the opportunity presents itself, but there aren't any better in house options at the moment.
