When Stanley posts something about "tercera base" on his twitter account, it's reasonable to infer that it's newsworthy even if your Spanish fluency is limited to knowing only what "tercera" and "base" mean.

        Yes

Yes, especially considering what's going on with him at the moment

But she didn't say people who don't speak spanish shouldn't post news, or anything even close to that.

She just said people should post translations of spanish news items.

While I have no problem with people posting Spanish quotes since we do have quite a few people that speak Spanish here, if you do that, can you at least post an English translation as well? This is an English language board and we do have posters here on this board that don't speak Spanish.
Can't post a translation if you don't speak the language, whether or not it's news, if it's misspelled to the point that Google translate can't handle it.

If something in Spanish is posted and there's no translation, have a little patience instead of complaining.

I wasn't aware patience still existed after Twitter was invented

If this was the case, I'd expect the poster to say something like "I just came on this quote. I'm not sure what it means. Can someone translate it?" Instead, we're just getting people post stuff in Spanish (this isn't the first. There's a post from Ozzie in Spanish only in, I believe the chat thread). I'm just asking for a little courtesy for those of us that don't know Spanish very well.

How about this; if you know what it means, please post a translation in addition to the quote. If you don't, ask. Better?
