Absolutely stunning that most of u r buying this crap! What in Jeffrey Loria's history would lead any to believe that he will spend what ya'll assume r a forgone conclusion?? This isn't about Marlins history this is about the owner. New stadium, new players, new fans, new revenue......it won't matter until there's a new owner.
Meeting with all these players is nothing more than a courtesy effort to show "we tried". I'm really surprised that a forum who claims to be the best for Marlins info has decided to ignore the past history of not only this organization but more importantly this owner. U don't continue to give the "benefit of the doubt" to someone who keeps shoving coal up ur ass. At some point u have to demand accountable and action. There aren't anymore excuses for this group to conjure up. I sincerely hope after this plate of gourmet "shit", that we're being served, the rest of u wake up and stop bobbing samson's knob.
Gonna be a lot of disappointed people round these parts

I feel abused. You should feel like you've been caught. I know what you were up to. You wanted to put that out there so you could respond to ... J ... while not actually responding to him but while also avoiding having to make a later post in response to him but while also showing us that you really do have reasons that you could have posted in a response.
I'm on to you.

CHICAGO -- Mark Buehrle is meeting with one of his prime suitors Tuesday which could move him one step closer to making his departure from the Chicago White Sox official.
The free agent will reportedly meet with Marlins officials, a gathering that could go a long way for both parties to see if there is an ideal fit for next season and beyond.
The only person that doesn’t need any convincing is new Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen, who has always been quick with praise for the easy-going left-hander. Buehrle has been viewed as a fit in South Florida because of his relationship with Guillen, the fact that the Marlins are looking for a veteran lefty, and that they have money to spend and want to use it on pitching.
In 2011, Buehrle notched his 11th consecutive season with at least 200 innings pitched, 10 victories and 30 starts, a franchise record and the longest such active streak in baseball. Only Buehrle and CC Sabathia have recorded at least 10 victories for 11 consecutive seasons.
The meeting between Buehrle and the Marlins doesn’t mean the veteran pitcher’s return to the South Side is impossible. The White Sox have always planned on having other teams set Buehrle’s value before deciding if the fan favorite fits into a 2012 budget that has little to no wiggle room.
While that is the same tactic the White Sox used last season when ultimately re-signing Paul Konerko, there appear to be longer odds when it comes to keeping Buehrle.
The biggest stumbling block is that the White Sox are intent on reducing a payroll that went above $127 million last season. When Konerko was signed, the White Sox were committed to raising payroll to acquire the talented they desired.
