The Soft Opening Thread: Marlins-UM Sold Out

The Marlins have recorded the first sellout at their new ballpark.

All 10,000 tickets to the team’s exhibition game against the University of Miami on March 6 sold out in matter of days. The tickets went on sale Friday and were gone Monday.

Tickets still remain for the team’s exhibition against Florida International University on March 7. Capacity for that game at Marlins Park is being limited to 15,000 seats.

The Marlins will also play a pair of exhibition contests against the New York Yankees on April 1 and 2, but tickets to those games have not yet been put on sale.

Aaron Rowand, Donnie Bleeper, Hanley, Logan Tweeterson, Gaby, John Buck, Cousins and Nick Green. Buerhle is the likely starter.
