I only ask because it doesn't make sense to trade a valuable player just for minor league depth. Unless something has completely slipped my mind.

This is why people used to think Chris Seddon was the guy that would bring clinch all sorts of trades for us.

LeBlanc will likely be out of options (not 100 percent sure.) So it's not minor league depth. Baker was arbitration eligible and had no future here so the Marlins likely just got someone who didn't have that big of a future (with SD) and if they don't need him, they could just release him (LeBlanc)
