It's the reason I said months ago that I'd probably rather have Jackson, as well.
This is what he's referring to:

      Last three years:

      Buerhle: 629 IP, 3.91 ERA, 1.316 WHIP
      Jackson: 623 IP, 3.96 ERA, 1.363 WHIP

Jackson has allowed 1 earned run more over the last 3 years.

Right now, they're basically the same pitcher. They arrive at their outcomes in different ways, but the outcomes are largely similar.

The difference is one guy is 28 on opening day and the other is 33. Given the next 3-4 years, one guy is a much better bet to be the better pitcher.

        I like Buerhle because he's a lefty.

However, Jackson throws hard. So both are cool with me.

I think we need more blacks on the team

Thus, I am for Prince and EJax

Keith Law gives his thoughts on the Marlins in an interview. He talks minor league guys and free agency. You get the sense he's still mad about my brother for banning him.

              Yes. More blacks FTW.

I would like for us to look at Jurrjens, he would be a neat addition to the rotation.. I prefer Edwin & CJ/Buehrle though.

Morosi is saying the Giants are open to trading J.Sanchez.

                    I have never liked Sanchez.

Looking at Jurrjens would be like looking at 3D televisions when you have $20 in your pocket.

We don't have anything to trade (that we'd be willing to trade) that could get him.

"We will listen on [David] Wright for sure," a Mets official told Sherman last week. I suck. The official added, "We know we are not going to win it all in 2012. We have to hope the Phillies get old and we are in position to take advantage of that in 2013-14, and we have to figure out ways to speed the process to get there." I suck.Sherman says the Mets crave a "young, defensive-oriented center fielder plus an arm or two" for Wright. I suck.He says they are focusing most on the Angels, and Peter Bourjos is a possibility.

Don't think we have the pieces for this either, but he would solve our 3B problem.

I don't see Hanley moving from 3B for Wright.

I would love Wright for this team. I doubt the Mets move him if/when they lose Reyes.

Hypothetically, Dominguez, James and Hand is probably enough to get them to think about it, then it just depends on how many other teams like him.

An offseason that exchanges LoMo for a great young starter and brings in David Wright is so for me.

Wright isn't even that good. It seems as if his best years are FAR behind him. He's a poor defensive player with rapidly decreasing power.

Chances are he'd cost more than that.

His OPS dip coincides with Citi Field's opening.

Even then, in his two (healthy) seasons there he put up an .837 and .856 OPS.
