I did not do that once. I actually say very simple things and then you take one sentence and construct one of those conspiracy walls with newspaper clippings connected by yarn.

how has no one addressed this sentence in a release from the PBP?

The fact that they made the move, even thought the marlins are not exactly deep in startin pitching, speaks volumes for the team’s frustrations with their former first-round draft pick from 2005.
COME ON WHY ARE THESE GUYS PAID

Well, it makes no sense. We have no one in the minors that's ready (thus why we stretched out Hensley), JJ has not even picked up a baseball, he made an adjustment yesterday and started pitching better and he had a great stretch of games in June when he wasn't facing the Phillies. This is completey fucking stupid.

for once I actually agree, don't really see the sense in sending him down

Doesn't really matter since he sucks and the team sucks. If they are just trying to show him, "hey dumbfaced kid, you can't keep pitching like this or we won't keep you here, and we mean it", then they might as well do it when it doesn't matter so much that there is just more shit behind him.

He isn't deserving of a rotation spot with the way he's pitching. I don't really care that there isn't a better option at this point in the system. Just because that's the case doesn't mean he can't be reprimanded for his poor performance.

I mean, I don't really agree for a few reasons. For one, I do care if there's no one better. We're still trying to win games. And I'd rather Volstad put up a 5.50 ERA up here than see Hand or Elih do the same and ruin their confidence/trade value/whatever and become worthless in the future.

And I don't think this is like a little kid disobeying his mommy who needs to be "reprimanded." He's been demoted the previous 2 years. He knows he's pitching like shit.

Chances are, he won't be with us next year. So who gives a shit.

And Javy was the way he started the year? Volstad just had a quality start two starts ago and could have gotten another yesterday had he not thrown 28 pitches in the first inning.

Forget whether he deserves it or not. Your 25 man roster is supposed to have your 25 best players. Since we don't have a starter in the minors caple of pitching better than Volstad right now, he should not have been sent down.

Season's over with, this is about proving a point. I'm fine with it. He sucks, but it's not like the fact someone may or may not suck more than him matters now.

I still can't get over "even thought the marlins are not exactly deep in startin pitching"

It's like nacho marlin writes for the Palm Beach Post

First of all, could haves mean nothing. He threw 28 pitches in the first and couldn't get through to have a quality start which again is a 4.50era.

At the end of the day, he's just not very good. He's a 5th starter with some upside at this point. While I'm not sure anyone is better in the minors, you might as well take a look at some of the guys.

                                I mean really?

Also Vazquez is one and done in terms of the Marlins so the situations aren't similar. Also Vazquez has actually improved from his dreadful start while Volstad still throws up 3-4 dreadful starts and 1 quality start every so often.
