  • Yes, and he was absolutely an abortion there. So no, he cannot play three positions.

    • I watched some of the games he played there. He wasn't an abortion.

        • LMAO! Nobody wants pujols for his defensive "versatility"!

On a lighter note, talking bout all these potentials r fun but we need to set our sights a lil lower.

          • No one here expects any of this to happen so don't worry about that.

                  • I just think teams are going to overpay and put guys out of reach.

                    • It could be the Marlins overpaying this offseason.

If they stick to their word, the team payroll is due a nice boost this offseason.

Whether or not we agree, it seems like the front office is rather content with the core players.

It seems like the position players are set, aside from signing Infante which shouldn't be an overpayment or anything.

                      The bullpen is absolutely fine.

The only need is to pay for a rotation arm or two.
Buehrle is a veteran and is left-handed. Two things they probably want.

I think C.J. Wilson will be out of price range because he's very good, but a guy like Buehrle should be well within the team's price range.

I don't know if he signs here or not, but I'd guess that the Marlins will be one of the teams realistically interested in him.

                            • I don't see why anyone who has remotely comparable offers would sign with the Marlins right now.

Two of the teams expected to make a good amount of noise are the Cubs and Nationals. Are they really better destinations?
