I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with Johnson. If he is hurt, we could just go back to what we had (Cantu at first, Boner at 3rd). BC is the one that needs to get called back.
If Sanchez was being recalled, he wouldn't need to leave the game early. There's no game tonight, so there's no rush to get him to Houston. He could finish out the game and then take a flight tonight.
To further that point, New Orleans was home. It's only about a five and a half hour drive from there to Houston. Definitely no reason to pull him from a game today if he'd been called up.
Yeah, not really any good reason but they could still have just decided, we gon call him back up and get him some playing time, OH SHIT TAKE HIM OUT THE GAME BEFORE HE GETS HURT TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

At least, that's what I would think.
Isn't the idea that you pull the player so as not to risk an injury? Imagine that Sanchez somehow incurred a freak injury in a meaningless AAA game when the FO knew he was getting the call...that would be unacceptable.
