Really beef, do you have to like... have a laser-guided lock-on to say something like that whenever someone uses a generic sports colloquialism?

Yes, we the fans (and the team, too) got burned, because we (THE FANS) assumed going into Washington was an instant 2 wins at the least for THE MARLINS... THE MARLINS weren't going to go undefeated against the Nats and it was going to catch up to THEM... simple laws of averages...

(the ALL caps words/phrases were for Beef, because apparently possessive pronouns are dumb)

No, but I was interested in what you meant. I dont like when people assume the players were thinking a certain way or that fans cant look ahead or else the team will lose. I didnt think you were doing that, but I was checking

              Up to 9 from 8

Our playoff berth will depend on our 3-5 starters. They've looked good enough lately.

Nationals have a winning record since the break I believe. Their lineup is also better then ours. Maybe the first half of their season wasn't the real Washington either.

Nationals would be dangerous if Olsen and Jordan Zimmerman were healthy

Except for us, they haven't really played any real "winners"... That being said, yes they are, indeed, better than what they were in the first half.

How on earth do they have a better lineup than ours?

The only reason our aggregate numbers look so mediocre is that we gave 430 AB's to Emilio Bonifuckface.

yeah I'd say the nats have a better middle order but 1-8 we're better. I mean, they have both Wil Nieves and Ronnie Belliard starting.

well, I don't know about that really. I mean we're more "balanced" but their 1-6 beats our 1-6 very very badly

I'm the farthest thing from a blind Marlins homer, but give our guys some credit. Morgan-Belliard--Zimm-Dunn-Hammer-Dukes is not better than Cogs-NJ-Hanley-Cantu-Baker-Uggla. And disregarding lineup spot, only Zimm and Dunn start over anyone on our roster at their position.

                            Isn't it Morgan-Guzman-Zimm-Dunn-Hammer-Dukes?

If Hammer was on this team, he would start as well. His numbers this season are through the roof.

Willingham easily would start for our ball club. I can agree maybe not at first, but once the abuse of pitching started they'd find a way for him to get onto the field. It's insane to think otherwise. He's been one of the best hitters in baseball this season for months.

                              And still a 6.

I know they moved into positive run differentialville, but they needed to grab a SP at the deadline and NJ going out brings the offense down. But we'll see. I like Gaby and maybe Anibal rules in a week.

We've been in positive run differentialville for all but one month this season, and that month was ridiculously bad, we've been above a .580 win percentage every month outside of May.

                                Code:
                                Month by Month
Split	W	L	RS	RA	WP

                                April	14	8	112	105	.636
                                May	9	20	119	161	.310
                                June	17	11	131	120	.607
                                July	14	10	104	88	.583
                                August	9	6	99	88	.600
May skewed a lot of things (especially our record) very badly. I'm not saying it doesn't count, but, I think we've been playing solidly as a positive run differential team before the numbers actually said so.

I agree about Nick Johnson and a pitcher, though.
