I wonder if LoMo + some prospects land us Greinke.. He is due 13.5 mil over the next 2 years though, and I don't see KC paying any of that. We would then have to flip Nolasco somewhere, maybe for a CF'er as well Leo Nunez.

Boston might be looking for a SP and reliever.. Maybe Nolasco and Nunez for Ellsbury..

    This would be amazing.

WEDNESDAY, 11:45am: The Phillies are not close to signing Reyes and have yet to make a formal offer, reports Paul Hagen of the Philadelphia Daily News. Word is they're not close on any reliever right now.

Marlins reportedly were thinking about a 3 team deal, but have since backed off. No details on the teams or players at this point.

JoeCap sez it was between us, the Rockies and the Rangers

me thinks it had to do with Michael Young going to Colorado

Gotta be Nolasco and Nunez in some capacity. Both have young pitching we'd move them for.

                    Wild guess here...

To the Rockies: Michael Young (rumored interest)

To the Rangers: Ricky Nolasco (might lose Cliff Lee...Plan B is Grienke; Nolan Ryan and the organization value starting pitching, especially guys who give lots of innings).

Players that the Marlins could've been asking for...
Fowler (COL), Stewart (COL), Borbon (TEX), Rex Brothers (COL)

Again, just some guesses. Would be interesting to see what the actual deal was, but we'll probably never know.

I say Nolasco to Rangers, Nunez to Rockies, and Fowler + some to the fish.

                      Good shit from MLBTR-

Marlins president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest told Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald that the team was involved in discussions with two other clubs about a multiplayer deal before talks stalled (Twitter link). The Rangers and Rockies were the other teams involved in the potential swap, according to Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post (Twitter link). Leo Nunez and Ricky Nolasco, two players the Marlins will consider trading, were involved in the discussions.

The Rangers and Rockies were discussing a potential Michael Young deal last night, but it's not clear if these trade talks were related.

Nolasco would have been headed to Colorado, according to Juan C. Rodriguez' twitter.

That thread makes zero sense. Mod fail.
