I don't see why. It's not like we haven't seen this type of thing from Cantu regularly (where he is terrible for a while and then goes on a stretch where pitchers can't get him out).

I think we're out, but I think we're going to play above .500 ball the rest of the way.

Just too much ground to make up and too many teams we'd have to jump.

While I don't think the Marlins are in the race, and I don't think they should be buyers, if they do decide to give up an Aaron Thompson type of prospect for someone who can fill a need, like they did last offseason, I'm fine with that. But they shouldn't go gangbusters for a rental player.

Guys like Haren, who aren't rentals? Yeah, go for that if the price is right. But that should always be the case.

Really bad and not ending in a pile are not the same thing, unless you have retarded expectations

Naw, I just love making fun of David.

I'm with Ramp, if one anchor offensive player wakes the heck up, we're in the middle of it, if two step up, holy hell.

The pitching is fine; JJ is otherworldly and Nolasco and Anibal are fine NL 2/3's.

I think we've got a run in us, but I wouldn't begrudge trading most of the spare parts away; I'm also to the point where I don't care what we get for him, we just need to move Jorge and promote Logan.

I think we are 3 games one way or the other from being in or out, but I don't think we are either right now. I wouldn't make any decisions until the 31, but I'd be doing my homework on buying and selling regardless.

But we are closer to being in than out. Our one run record is turning around, and our bullpen has figured itself out. Or maybe Allah did it.

It's amazing how underachieving the offense has been this season.
                          Stanton in July: .213/.294/.541/.835

                          Oh, and that's with a .229 BABIP.

.267/.346/.612/.958 line with a .300 BABIP, assuming those extra hits are singles.

he gun torch it in August

We out unless the 6-7 other teams ahead of us die or something.
