I don't know. I just thinknits a real problem for the future of the board. I mean, if we win 8 in a row and everyone gets excited and starts posting, that's cool, but I could see the board really having trouble picking up new posters right now, and this MBA shit only makes that worse.

There's zero reason for anyone to join this board, and that's a real concern, I think.

I like that you're at least concerned about the future of this board but I think you're way off on why it's in trouble.


This board is in trouble because:

1) The Marlins play in a football stadium with the worst sight lines in baseball and more importantly an ownership that has proven that's it's not in the winning business. It's in the "Cross our fingers and fucking pray that EVERYTHING goes right and we win" business. Just because the FO has been really really really been hoping that the win streak would happen doesn't mean it will come true.

2) The new stadium is 2 years (roughly) away

3) The Marlins are not and never were nearly as good as many thought in 2010. I got sodomized on this board early on in the year for being too negative about the team. I wasn't being negative. I was being realistic. The people who were the harshest on me are now the biggest "zomg we suck" posters around.

4) This is still a football town. It will be another generation or two before we weed out the Yankee/Mets/Philly Dads who raise their kids to be Yankee/Mets/Philly fans. It takes time but it will get there.
