I think one need only look at the stands of the park the Charlotte Knights play at to see howfugly this could turn out.
Knuckleballs has a point however. Loria isnt going to own this place forever, and whoever takes it over is going to be stuck with what could very well turn into an art deco eyesore.Amy Adams, AKA Cinnamon MuffLogan Morrison: "If baseball didn't exist, I would probably be ... like a curler. "If it's in Miami, it must be art deco!"

I think people who've never visited Miami would be surprised at how very little art deco there is outside SoBe.

Let me clarify my statement, as I was neg rep'd for it. I prefer the brick and mortar look in a stadium. I am very much a "Camden Yards" type. I'm not overly excited about the use of pastels and the "art deco" vibe. I think that there is a limit to the amount of color and artistic expression one can have in a ballpark. I fear Loria is reaching the limit of good taste. This is a Dolphins town, though.

A Camden Yards in Miami would be idiotic. From what I've seen this stadium looks exactly like a stadium in Miami should look like. Very contemporary, clean design with a pop of color. It's not art deco. Color =/= art deco. This post was brought to you by: Dat SEC Speed

If you want to spruce up your open public space with something that screams "I have no imagination", Brito's your go to guy.Last edited by Bobbob1313; 07-16-2010, 11:18 AM.poop

Its going to be a place that an art person like Loria creams himself over and everyone else just kind of shakes their head at.Amy Adams, AKA Cinnamon MuffLogan Morrison: "If baseball didn't exist, I would probably be ... like a curler. Or a hairstylist."
