Even if they did I'm not sure I'd send either down. Robertson is pitching better than expected. Nolasco is just frustrating, I might consider him. But Volstad has to figure something out.

I mean that's my point. Obviously Volstad is yuck in that stretch but Nolasco's been almost exactly as bad and we're 6-5, and JJ has been Godly and we're 6-5. The W-L part is luck, I won't put that on Volstad's shouldersOriginally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.

Also, Nolasco is 3-1 with a 3.67era with a .238baa and has given us 27 innings in his last 4 starts. Volstad's 0-2 with a 6.86era with a .305baa and has given us 19.2 innings in his last 4 starts.
Ricky seems to be righting the ship, Volstad is just getting worse.

Also, this season Volstad has:
-4 tough losses (quality starts where he takes the loss)
-2 wins lost (games where he left in position for the win but the bullpen blew it
I mean no doubt Volstad is struggling tremendously and "should" be sent down but I don't blame the 1-10 team record entirely on him, and I do not think Sanabia puts us in a better position to win, as much as I like the kidOriginally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.

This is coming from someone who actually likes him too.
