JoeFrisaro: #Marlins #MLB If Lee indeed is Yankee bound, Ricky Nolasco may become an attractive trade piece. Marlins will listen for right offer.

Twins could use a third baseman too and they do have some reasonable pitching prospects, although none are all that advanced. They'd be a decent fit except that Beinfest usually gets bent over a chair by their front office when trading with them, although that was before Bill Smith took over.

How many times have we traded with them in the Beinfest era?

                  Well, yeah.

But he said "usually". That's actually everytime, but one time doesn't make a trend.

Pitching and a catcher is what I want.

Don't u know that Dan Uggla does not fit wit what the Twins wanna do. He makes alot of cash and can't play defense.

Seriously tho, they are considering him but are not sure if he would wanna play 3B especially with the reports out during the Winter Meetings that he said he only wants to play 2B. They were interested in him before but went with the O Dawg instead

Little more info on why Chicago is looking at Nolasco is that Oswalt has them on his No Trade List. The Marlins will listen to deals for him but won't give him away.

I don't believe they'd look at Dan Uggla to play 3B. I was more referring to Helms or Cantu. Uggla doesn't fit what they want to do and he does make alot of cash and there's no way they're paying him his arby salary next year. They're gonna try to make a run at a FA pitcher to head the rotation in the offseason and they need to have the money freed up for that. Cantu and Helms both are FAs after this season and would be nice rentals for the Twins.

We don't want Montero, there's no DH in the NL.

And even if there was a DH in the NL, the Marlins would already have at least three guys to fill that spot.

I'd fucking do it. Not like you can't move one of Gaby/Logan. Yankees already got a Nolasco in Vazquez though.
