The Marlins have tried to upgrade their bullpen, but have balked at the asking price, according to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com.
Frisaro writes that the failure to get a deal done isn't for lack of trying, but that every time the Marlins inquire about a player, they are asked about parting with first base prospect Logan Morrison. The 22-year-old first baseman is batting .325 with a 951 OPS with Triple-A New Orleans. The Fish aren't about to give away one of their prospects for a quick fix.
