He started on July 8. It hasn't been that long. He threw 3.1 innings on the 17th.

Hugg, I know you're just giving me a hard time but, as evidenced by the fact that he got booted from the rotation for a guy with an ERA near 6 (it's over 6 now) and Brian Lawrence, he is not high on the organizational totem pole. He's probably even behind Miller.

Why? Do you want to see me lose it?

I'm not basing my comments on what I think we will do, I'm basing them on what we should do. He's been awesome, why not give him a shot?

              In short, yes.

You mean to say you haven't lost it already?

Volstad spent 26 years in AAA before winning a Cy Young.

Because, if they know about this ahead of time, they can limit the number of pitches Volstad throws tomorrow.

Besides, it's not like starting on short rest is going to kill him. Guys do it all the time. It's only 1 day less rest.

You also have to take into consideration that Volstad is super-human.

The best part is the built-in excuse if he has a shitty start. It's a win-win for mibbalicious.

You know, this was a lot more enjoyable when we would actually discuss stuff like this. Now, all anyone wants to do is rag on me about Volstad.

This is the most action a Nate Robertson thread has had in his pitching career. If only his pitches had this much action.

                                Tom Koehler!!!!!

I want him in the pen though. But he's a cool dude.
