the restrictions carry over to the new team. and if the new team decides not to keep him on the roster they offer him back to the original team, not the team that drafted himOriginally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.

It works like this
Houston picked Jimenez from Boston and paid the $50,000(We can't afford that)
Houston then traded Jimenez to Florida
Jimenez has to stay on our roster ALL Season or DL if injured
If we don't want him he goes on waivers and another team can claim him
If no other team wants him,we offer him back to Boston for $25,000 which goes to Loria's new painting or work out a trade with Boston that let's us put him in the minors. If Boston does not want him he becomes a FA and can sign with anyone
So it's like Houston picked him put him on waivers and we claimed him

Unless we're talking 0-100 instead of the typical 20-80CSBC Commish
