More important than Manny Navarro being retarded: If Morrison is playing LF 4x per week, Gaby seems to have locked down 1B for the foreseeable future. And Morrison playing LF likely indicates that the organization doesn't see Cogs staying in the OF permanently (like they once said they did), meaning he's shifting back to the infield somewhere. There's now a clearer picture of how they see the 2011 team.

Brandon Inge, Mike Lowell, Pedro Feliz, Ty Wigginton, Bill Hall, etc on a 1 year contract, Dominguez mid season. Solid cheap options there. Inge and Hall would be cool because they murder lefties, and that would bail out Coghlan/Morrison in whatever rotating 3B/LF/1B roll they are in.

Perfect lineup though is keeping Uggla, and getting the 2 first round draft picks after 2011, then shift Coghlan to 2B for the stadium. You then spend the money on super legit 4th outfielder to bail out Maybin if he stinks.

Uggla would easily get a 3-4 year deal making an arbitration offer a near 100% decline. Cantu as well this year.

Look at Ty Wigginton. He was a bit older, but Houston non-tendered him to save them from arbitration, and then on the FA market all he got was 2 years, 3 mil per. Cantu likely makes more in arbitration than he does on the FA market.

Per 2011, yes. But Cantu will easily get 2-4 year offers and decline arbitration because the greater sum will be in guaranteed money. Ned Coletti is going to see those RBIs and freak out.
