    Promotions according to Frisaro:

Misner and Connor Scott to Jupiter
    VVM to Jacksonville

    Interesting.

Jupiter's OF should be fun to watch...Misner, Scott, and Bleday.

damn surprised they promoted connor scott that fast after such a slow start to the year but im guessing its because he's been on fire and they have other guys who need to be promoted.

        - - - - - - - - - -

super interested to see what the front office does with the relative SS log jam we will have in A/A+ next year between Osiris, Nunez, and Devers. Devers and Johnson being hurt this year kind of makes that decision hard. im guessing either nunez starts off in extended spring and Osiris and Devers go back to Clinton and Jupiter respectively or maybe they are confident enough in those guys to put Nunez in clinton right away and then start Osiris off in Jupiter with Devers being promoted to AA.

That Connor Scott promotion is a head-scratcher. There shouldn't be any rush with him. I would've promoted Burdick before him.

Speaking of promotions I think Sixto is ready for AAA.

          - - - - - - - - - -

VVM with the most unearned promotion of all time.

I think Osiris changes positions, maybe CF. Osiris and Nunez both at Clinton. Devers, if he's able to come back at all this year or AFL maybe, he could possibly go to AA, if not then Jupiter.

Also, Misner is going to Clinton not Jupiter.

Hey Victor Victor Mesa finally got out of Jupiter. Obviously his numbers don't merit a call up but he'll clearly do better in Jax.

            - - - - - - - - - -

Sanchez has allowed 3 ER his last 26 1/3 IP, so an ERA of 1.03 in that time.

I have no problem leaving him in Jax since he's 21 but damn he's really good.

VVM's numbers overall wouldn't merit a call up, but he has been producing much better in July and his numbers have actually been slowly getting better every month. It'll be interesting to see if how he does out of Jupiter and the FSL.

His "good" month of July produced a .660 OPS.

Chopped up your post for relevancy.

Scott's last 150 PA is .319/.373/.442, with 12/32 BB/K. That's pretty good, and really good for his age where you wouldn't expect slugging for a few years. Practically I'd like to see that over double the PA, but there isn't a big gap between A and A+, so I don't mind being aggressive here. I think he needs to stay in Jupiter for a full season here on out, minimum, so I think he's going to be there awhile. Unless he's absolutely crushing the ball next summer, I'm thinking he opens 2021 in Jax.

VVM, I mostly agree. He's hitting better lately, 154 PA post .297/.329/.324, 6/19 BB/K, but that's not really saying much as that's obviously not a very attractive slash line. Though, his overall BABIP is very low with someone with his speed (.287) and his K rate is borderline elite (12.3%), and may be downright elite considering he has had way less PA than other prospects last few years and he's in his learning curve. I think based on purely numbers alone, he shouldn't have been moved, but I suspect they know what they are doing and see a marked improvement even if there is absolutely no slugging to speak of. If he's just going to pepper singles hitting over .300+ (he is .304 in July) in Jupiter once that BABIP normalizes with that contact rate, and he is already an above average MLB defender (so they say anyways), I don't think the promotion is necessarily terrible. Maybe the rust is coming off and they just can see it before we can? I think they've earned a little trust with how everyone looks this year. Not Fish16 level trust, but the needle has moved a little for me. Can we get some doubles at least though? 8 XBH in 90 hits is insane.

Devers needs to stay in Jupiter until this time next year minimum. He's a slow cooker. He's 19 with a .388 BABIP in Jupiter with limited plate appearances. He needs 3 years

I don't think they have position issues with Osiris. I'd give up on him as a SS though. MLB.com has an interesting blurb in his pipeline profile: The question will be how long Johnson remains at shortstop. He has a quick first step and enough arm to make plays there now, but his sturdy frame may eventually dictate a move to second base or perhaps the hot corner. Some evaluators believe he has the athleticism to wind up in center field. (http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2019?list=mia). I'm working him primarily at 2B/3B. Practically speaking, if he is a fringe SS and some think he has the arm for CF, he should be able to handle 3B. You can always just move those guys to the OF if needed. They did that with Anderson at the MLB level and that worked out fine. Gary Sheffield turned out alright. Let's be a little real here too, they don't have a top 30 organizational prospect who can play 3B and have a shitload of outfielders. They have every other position right now, so there is real hope everywhere besides 3B (Banfield, L. Diaz, Isan/Devers, Devers/Nunez/Salas, 3B???, Scott/Misner, Monte/VVM, Bleday, R-Sixto/Neidert, L-Garrett/Rogers, RP-Guzman/Holloway). This could be a smart position move for Osiris and clears a path post-Anderson. If I'm Osiris, I'm asking to play 3B next year.

                  - - - - - - - - - -

*To note, they don't have good lefty relievers in the pipeline unless Garrett/Rogers ends in the pen or Stewart gets his shit together, so I am a glutton for mentioning this daily they should trade Castro/Walker/Urena for some.

No I don't have much of a problem with the Scott promotion, the reason he got called up over Burdick is he can play CF. I'd just be more interested to see what these college bats can do at the higher levels than Scott because I feel like we have time with him.

im super excited to see what scott can do next year. He started off horribly this year but his recent play combined with his body type which indicates a lot of future growth in terms of strength has me excited for his potential. He has a ton of doubles this year which indicates really solid potential power from him. I didnt like the pick at the time because i wanted liberatore but his recent growth has me excited. That and the marlins new scouts have my confidence until they prove otherwise.

just looking to see what liberatore and mclanahan have done for the rays this year, and god damn they have such good scouts and just an overall well run organization given the constraints with which they have to work. Their ability to be consistently competitive while also having a phenomenal and deep farm system is just really impressive.

Misner homers in his first game at Clinton. Clinton is an offensive machine right now.

Next year u got Nunez,Osiris,Dalvy Rosario in Clinton.

                            SS-Nunez
                            2B-Osiris or Dalvy
                            CF-Osiris or Dalvy

They probably move Osiris and Dalvy to all 3 spots but Nunez is gonna be the SS

Lewin Watch: 0-8 with four whiffs in first two games for JAX.

Unnoticed: Kolton Mahoney for JAX. Has posted a better ERA than Cabrera or Sanchez thus far. Needs to cut back on bases on balls to make the next step.

Instant Upgade: Eddy Alvarez as replacement for Yadiel Rivera. He hits and hustles and plays everywhere.
