Good to see Harrison back and homering in his return. Isan Diaz is ready, just waiting for the call. Gallen with maybe his first shaky start of the year. The not worthy of the Top 30 guys Encarnacion and Poteet continue to perform, and Burdick with a solid professional debut in Batavia.

would be cool if we had 1 beat writer who could have given us an update on harrison prior to see him back from a box score.

Diaz is ready, harrison isnt far behind, but brinson needs to stay down until that k rate improves.

Brinson's K rate is 4 points lower than Harrison's and his BABIP is about 20 points lower.

Yeah I think Harrison needs the full year in AAA. We've definitely seen strides from last year. He needs to keep improving the weaknesses in his game.

i didnt say harrison is ready yet, he needs to improve his k rate a little too, but harrison does much more well aside from his hitting than brinson does. He's been incredibly impressive with his stolen base efficiency this year. If he can become a guy who steals you 30+ steals a year with his power potential and defensive ability with his arm, that's a guy who can impact the game more than brinson.

I really don't care about stolen bases, as in they do little to nudge a player in one direction or the other(since only ~20% of stolen bases are necessary in plays where there is an eventual score).

My big worry with Harrison is that if he brings that K rate up to the majors and his BABIP normalizes he is a 4th outfielder.

hell no, dont fuck with a forearm strain. the kid is the youngest player in that league as of the start of the year, no need to rush him back. Get him healthy, have him finish in jupiter then start next year in jupiter and move him up to Jax mid season.

As for brinson, if he only needs another week or so for the extra year of team control, you do it without question. Even if you arent sure what he is. There is 0 reason to bring him up here for a shitty team, even with how bad he has been in the majors, if you can get an extra year of his ceiling by keeping him down for just another few weeks. They can make up for a huge mistake last year and give him more time to keep working on his confidence and plate discipline.

Did Harrison immediately get injured again? He played the one game where he homered, then not in the lineup the last two games. No Brinson in the lineup tonight either.

hopefully they are just easing him back in. they better not have rushed him back and had him tweak it again.
