Ya all the guys will get signed. They just been trying to get 2021 contracts to get more control

Just remember in few years they got Meyer and Dax(2 1st Rd Talents) instead of Asa and ?

I just hope that Fulton is one of the 79% that recover from TJS without debilitating issues. He'll get to keep his huge signing bonus in either case. All of the remaining draft picks look like real longshots to me.

Actually, it could have been Asa Lacy and JT Ginn, two TOP TEN talents, instead of Meyer and Fulton.

• All draft picks are now signed:

Jim Callis
@jimcallisMLB
4th-rder Jake Eder signs with marlins
for $700k (slot 104 value = $560k). Vanderbilt LHP, can hit 97 mph with fastball & flash a plus curveball, inconsistent at times but lots of upside. South Florida product signs with local team.

• A few observations from 2020 draft. They are based on this list of top college pitchers as compiled by d1 statistics in Januray of 2020:. https://www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/a...ball-analytics.

You will note that the Cleveland Indians, who always come up with pitching, were able to draft three pitchers from among the top 18 without even taking one in the first round! ! With their final pick in the abbreviated draft (156 overall), they actually got Mason Hickman, the second highest rated pitcher in all of collegiate baseball. Hickman was the winning arm in the 2019 NCAA championship game. Others were Tannerr Burns(ranked 5th) and Logan Allen (ranked 18th).

On the other hand, the Marlins chose 30th-ranked Max Meyer with their top pick. None of the other pitchers drafted by the Fish even made the top 150 list. Had the Marlins followed the Indians draft style, they could have taken LHP Detmers or Lacy (ranked 1st and 6th) with their top pick, JT Ginn (7th ranked) with their second pick, and Mason Hickman (ranked 2nd!) with even their 5th pick.

Just wanted to go on record with my disapproval of the Marlins work with this past draft. Time will tell.
