Sounds like its Asa Lacy or Austin Martin with DJ loving Austin Martin. They think he can stick at SS but would be cool if he ends up as a 3B

They could go either way at #3 and then just grab the other position in Rd 2.

U could go SP Asa Lacy and then MIF Anthony Servideo,Alika Williams,Justin Fuscoe, maybe even Casey Martin
U could go SS Austin Martin and then SP Tanner Burns,Chris McMahon,Hugh Fisher,Christian Roa,Tommy Mace

    I would go
Rd 1 College SP Asa Lacy or Emerson Hancock
Rd 2 College MIF Fuscoe or Anthony Servideo
    Rd 2S HS 1B Blaze Jordan,HS OF Enrique Bradfield,HS 3B Yohandy Morales

Take 2 older college guys and then in Rd 2S go for a lotto ticket who will SIGN and have no worries about them going to college. Servideo is from Jupiter and the HS guys are from Florida or in Jordan's case has ZERO interest in college

Tork is going to Det or Baltimore

Someone I would look at in Rd 2 IF on board is Burl Carraway. I doubt he will be but he is a Lefty CL(Billy Wagner comp) who could move fast. He is perfect for any team really and if taken could be in the pen by 2022(Assume they play by then)

Don't see rehabbing Ginn falling all the way to #40, but draft projections vary from #15 all the way down to #44. He should top our list with that 40th pick if available IMO. Most teams might not be inclined to take an injured player with their top pick.

Another dude I absolutely love is Austin Wells. Not sure he sticks at C but the bat is for real. If he’s there at 40 he works for me.

#40 will likely be whoever is on the board-much like the Misner pick from LY. They could go about 10 ways and wouldnt be surprised to see Ginn/Wells/Casey Martin.

          1-Austin Martin OR Asa Lacy
          2-College Guy who fell-Wells//Martin/Ginn/Fuscoe
2S-Some HS lotto ticket-Blaze Jordan/Morales/some 1st Rd Kid who fell and wants to play MLB ball
3-5 BPA who will sign they could try to save on 3/4 and go crazy in Rd 5 OR go crazy in Rd 3 and 4 and take some guy in Rd 5 they like and dont think they can sign in UDFA(give him $50k bonus and save 350K)

No need to take Puerto Rico Players/kids from Baseball Factories or College Seniors as they have no real options beside UDFA. I wouldn't even take Florida guys as u could have Jeter sell them on signing for 20K and coming home to play.

Only positive about this draft thing is IF u have a strong scouting staff u should be able to do well. Jeter/Denbo/DJ will be hitting phones. U could sign 20-25 guys give them some look and see who sticks

I dont think Wells sticks at C but could be a 1B/DH and be a 3rd C(Value as a 26th guy!). His bat is his calling card but Wells would fit in very well with a 2023 Marlins team. Even tho people shit on Will Banfield he is gonna be a ML Backup for 10 years, doubt he hits but a guy like Wells would be great for a team with a defense only backup

Its like Burl Carraway OR even a guy like Mike Kirian. Both are College Lefty Closers who could be up by 2022. Have great value for a team like us who have lots of spots open in 2022

            Callis Mock

            3. Marlins: Asa Lacy, LHP, Texas A&M
The Marlins' choice could simply come down to whichever of Torkelson, Martin and Lacy remains on the board at No. 3.

Pretty much what I have heard for 2 weeks now-Marlins will take 1 of the 3. Baltimore could take Gonzales on below slot and spend BIG later which could mean Austin Martin AND Lacy on board. Sounds like Baltimore is seriously considering it by the way with Bitsko/Jordan Walker/Dylan Crews and others falling due to cost

Fun fact about Lacy is his nickname is ACE

I always prefer taking a bat this high, so I'd be thrilled if Tork/Martin were to somehow be there at 3. That said, I'd be happy to take any of the top 3 prospects.

                My Board is:

                1. Tork
                2. Lacy
                3. Martin

What will be interesting to see is who the Marlins would take if the Orioles take Gonzalez on a below slot deal and both Lacy and Martin are available at 3. It'd be a good problem to have. I suspect they'd lean Martin because of the Vandy connection.

They like both alot. Probably comes down to IF they think Austin Martin can play SS/3B or is a CF/2B. Another factor is $ and if they like a HS guy later This is Baltimore's issue right now. They like Austin Martin BUT few reports are that Nick Bitsko/Jordan Walker/Dylan Crews all have given Baltimore a price and they are considering them at like #33 or whatever they got

Baltimore could go Martin, slot, slot OR Gonzales/Bitsko/?. Doubtful we would get that crazy this year but NEXT year YES PLEASE if we miss out on a Top 3 pick

Smart play for us this year is go Lacy or Martin and college guys

This is mine as well ... although the Detroit selection of Torkelson appears to be a sure thing. Lacy could be ready for the majors very quickly IMO.

Always wondered why trading of draft picks isn't allowed in MLB. Believe it or not, the sole reason is to prevent stupidity from becoming the rule of the day; to prevent smart organizations from taking even more advantage of the dumb. Article:

Ya u didnt know this? If Jeff could have traded picks he would have traded them for vets every year. Why? #1 He wanted guys who were ML ready NOT 4 years or longer. #2 U can save millions if u trade your picks

It has gotten alot better over past few years but still a few teams out there who are complete idiots

Things are starting to trickle out of Marlins FO

                            #3 Asa Lacy
#40-They want a College Bat who falls(Misner LY). THEY are hoping 1 of Casey Martin,Daniel Cabrera,Aaron Sabato,Austin Wells
                            #2S-Signable HS P Names to watch are Alex Santos/Dax Fulton/Alejandro Rosario/Victor Mederos

Later in draft looking at fast moving RP types like Burl Carraway,Mike Kirian,Ryan Webb,Tyler Brown,Jack Leftwich,Nick Frasso/College C or Miami 1B Alex Toral if around in Rd 5

Gonna be interesting to watch out 2S and later picks. When I say "signable" I mean a HS arm who they might have to pay up for but will sign.

                            Give me a
                            Asa Lacy(LHP)
                            Casey Martin(MIF)
                            Dax Fulton(HS LHP)
                            Ryan Webb (LHP)
                            Another College Arm or C
                            Alex Toral(1B)

                            draft and i wouldnt complain

                            Few notes on HS P

Fulton is 6'6 220lb LHP from OK(means if Stan Meek was still running show he would be the #3 Pick) Had TJS in Sept so is out until June 2021 anyways. Likely would have to go above slot to sign him at 2S but Lacy may save us some cash and if we go College 3rd/4th Rd can save little too

Mederos is 6'3 210lbs from Cuba and will be 19 soon. Who else was a big older RHP from Cuba?

Rosario is from Miami,1 of youngest in the draft and reclassified from 2021. 6'1 175 but hits 97

I've read mostly Blake Snell (w/o the video game addiction).
