Remember they had a deal with him to pick him at #35 if guys like Misner didnt fall. #35 slot was 2.1 million so they paid him like he was #35 Pick. Before anyone goes crazy about the 600K over slot-Marlins had 550K to play with because of the 5% over pool rule.
