this system is looking very encouraging the last month or so. I didnt think diaz should be promoted any time soon but if he keeps it up im gonna have to eat my words. He's been great this year.

I still think you gotta stick with Castro and hope he gets hot so we can get something for him at the deadline, at which point we call up Diaz.

Yeah gotta say lou that's a great list. Didn't find much I disagree with (even my love for Neidert has to admit the injury this season has been worrisome). Gallen's spot was right before his complete breakout this season. We all thought he was a solid future #3/4 starter, but if he can grow into a major leaguer even quicker than expected with higher upside then God bless.

            FV60
            Sixto (top 25ish overall prospect)

            FV50
            Bleday (50-70 range)
Diaz (80-100 range) - Trending Up
Monte (100-125 range) - Trending Up

            FV45+
Devers (Fringe top 125) - Trending Up (I think they were onto something here)

            FV45
Gallen - Trending Up (on the verge of moving up another rung)
Garrett (need more innings with the next 5 to get more excited)
            Holloway
            Guzman
            E. Cabrera - Trending Up
            Rogers - Trending Up
            Scott - Trending Down
            Niedert - Trending Down
Misner (Fangraphs gives these two this rating already!)
            Nunez

            FV40+
VVM (downgrade) - Trending (way) Down. I can buy moving him to the last FV45

            FV40
            Banfield
            Dugger - Trending Up
            Yamamoto
            Ferrell
            W. Stewart - Trending Down
            O. Johnson - Trending Down
            Fortes - Trending Up
            B. Miller
            Vallimont - Trending Up
            Fitterer (Fangraphs gives this rating)
            Pompey
            Quijada

Gallen, Diaz, Ferrell, and Quijada are going to graduate, but the rest shouldn't into the offseason. They have some assets to sell so they probably fill out some FV40+/FV40 with a few more guys. This is getting pretty deep, and it doesn't include guys like E. Hernandez and Sierra who have to be FV40 at minimums, let alone the 8-10 guys we like at the MLB level.

Spend the free agency money on two huge bats!
Burdick/Orr/Hoeing are all 35 on FG too. We have alot of 35/35+ guys on their list

Zac Gallen entered the Baseball America Top 100 prospects list at No. 98
and that was *before* another fantastic start last night But at the same time, Víctor Víctor Mesa plummets from No. 55 to No. 88. By far the largest drop for anybody on their list.

the good thing with neidert is that its nothing arm related and the knee doesnt require surgery but its looking like a lost year for him. Which isnt the end of the world because he is still super young and we have a ton of other pitching depth both in the majors and at the top 3 levels of the minors

Exactly will be 22 ALL year. If he needs innings u send him to AFL-nothing wrong with his arm. He should be back July/August probably pitch in GCL and few AAA games

This is same with VV,people are crapping on him but Miami's plan all along was to get him as many AB's as possible this year

                U send VV/Neidert to AFL

VVM left the game yesterday after being hit by a pitch. Hopefully he is OK and doesn't miss much time. He had been hitting a lot better in his last 5 or 6 games with a couple of multi-hit games and 2 triples.

Those are both amazing rankings. Where is Diaz and Monte?

Personally think people need to cool the jets on Diaz a bit. He had not beed particularly good before this little hot streak he is on over the last 2 weeks.

Granted he was decent in AA last year before his AAA callup last season which did not go well.

MLB pitching would not be kind to either him or Harrison IMO.

Harrison for sure right now. He needs 500 more PA in AAA minimum.

Diaz has a major K rate decrease going on, power up tick, and walks consistent. This is a real step forward.

I think we've seen a pretty apparent pattern with Diaz, that it's taken him a little while to get comfortable at each new level of the minors. I don't think what he's done in the last two weeks is a fluke, but also we've got no rush, we've got until August 1st to move on from Castro. We'll have a much larger sample size at that time to evaluate. He's got a career OPS of .806 in the minors, it's not like what he's doing is out of nowhere for him.

Isan Diaz OPS breakdown per level:

                              Rookie: .892
                              Low-A: .827
                              High-A: .710
                              AA: .784
                              AAA (so far): .784

                              pretty damn consistent.
