Well with this group when they say athlete they mean guys who can run and have athletic ability. They don't want guys who are 5'11 225,takes them 10 seconds to get to 1B and can only 1 spot

This years 1st Rd we will be looking a College C(If JT is gone) or HS 5 tool guys like Witt Jr,Abrams,Hinds

Well that seems to be fairly huge. Like adding another late first rounder. Remember when we traded #38 in the draft for Bryan Morris and then people are now calling Jeter the same as Loria? Anyone who says this is exactly like loria has no clue what they are talking about.

HAHA exactly. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to ADD another pick for more Draft Pool $$. People don't realize not only do u get a high pick but u also get the cash to go with it which is huge when u have an owner who is willing to go over!!!

Thats how Houston built their farm system-save a few bucks in Rd 1 and 1S then spend on guys who dropped some. Get Top Talent in Rd 11 or later.

I would be very happy if they got one of the catchers, and best available SS and P with the later two picks

Adding those 3 top picks and then what is likely to be some more relatively high picks the following draft can be huge. really important for us to nail. Follow the astros model and we'll turn it around and build it sustainably with depth.

One of the Catchers and if they are both gone than Bobby Witt Jr or CJ Abrams. 5 Tool SS. It is a solid year to have high picks

FWIW Mayo has a Mock Draft out

                  4. Marlins: Josh Jung, 3B, Texas Tech
The Marlins have been much more high school heavy at the top, taking a prepster No. 1 five years running. But the chance to add an advanced bat with pop like Jung's could be too difficult to pass up as he could quickly advance to play the hot corner in Miami.

I'm a big advocate of drafting C/2B/SS/CF/SP with your top picks, unless there is an immense talent gap, as I want to perpetually build up the middle. So it just depends if he is that much better than someone else. I'd be disappointed if they passed on Langeliers (and Abrams) in that mock, but we'll see how the season plays out.

Same. I wouldnt pass on Langeliers or Abrams in that mock. Draft is deep in College SS/CF and LH Starters

Andrew Vaughn is a 1b only prospect. But I really hope they consider him at 4.

Love the bat but if u trade JT u have to look at the 2 Catchers hard. Plus its hard for teams to take a 1B only type that early unless system is great or u had a bad year and are looking to move someone quick

2 College Catchers/Witt Jr/Abrams would be top of list for me

                              #4/35/46 on Day 1 then #4 in Rds 3-40

                                Fangraphs has Board Updated

                                https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/...1&type=0&team=

                                I would go
                                #4-CJ Abrams(HS SS)
#35-College SS(Hope 1 of Greg Jones/Shewmake/Davidson/Holland/Will Wilson/Nick Quintana Fall) OR College Arm that moves fast
#46-BPA HS Player that will sign (SP Jack Leiter/Hunter Barco/Spencer Jones OR Bat Rece Hinds/Volpe/Siani/Brooks Lee/Tyler Callihan)

System needs Bats and expect them to go up the middle again(C/MIF/CF types). Abrams is 5 Tool Elite type the system needs who can stick at SS. Note on Tyler Callihan-he was getting C innings over summer(could be JT type)

I just hope we go BPA like LY

Should have a Top 3 Pick in 2020 so included their 2020 Rankings too
