Trevor Richards pitched so well in Jax they sent him back to Jupiter

Just a roster move but funny as hell that they can't move on from these old career minor league arms

That is in fact Miguel Rojas. He's been doing minor league games in Jupiter/Jax since July 8th.

I'd be cool with Riddle not being on this roster any longer. He's kind of terrible.

He shouldn't be starting, but he'll be a perfect guy off the bench.

Really according to a few on this board the long term plan is Riddle as the SS

Ya thats the plan with Mattingly when Rojas comes back. Rojas is the starting SS/JT becomes UT

In what way will he be a perfect guy off the bench? This love affair people have with Riddle now is weird as hell due to his walk off and semi hot start and the fact that he isnt Hech. He's been flat out bad. He doesnt hit for average, doesnt get on base, doesnt hit for power, and appears to be only an average fielder at best. He is a depth guy that most teams would only call up due to injury outbreaks. Finding a long term SS should be high on the priority list in the offseason.

I really wish they would trade one of the relievers for Profar from the rangers. Wouldnt cost much, high potential, and you get him for another 2 years before free agency. They also have a desperate need for relievers and seem to be moving towards moving on from him. Those are the kinds of moves id make as a GM that the marlins almost never make. They only like buying high.

Love affair, because I said he'll be good off the bench? OK bud. He's held his own, his numbers are still better than the typical line you'd get from Hech. For a guy who expected to be in AAA the entire year, getting his first taste of the big leagues, and really who no one expected him to be any more than filler as you say, I don't see how you could be anything but pleased with how he's performed. He's clearly elevated himself from AAA filler to useful bench guy. If his plate discipline continues to improve and hits for a little more pop, which he's improved on this year, he'll be both a dependable utility infielder, and a decent lefty-bat off the bench, what more could you want from someone coming off the bench?
