I really wish they would trade one of the relievers for Profar from the rangers. Wouldnt cost much, high potential, and you get him for another 2 years before free agency. They also have a desperate need for relievers and seem to be moving towards moving on from him. Those are the kinds of moves id make as a GM that the marlins almost never make. They only like buying high.

This love affair people have with Riddle now is weird as hell due to his walk off and semi hot start and the fact that he isnt Hech. He's been flat out bad. He doesnt hit for average, doesnt get on base, doesnt hit for power, and appears to be only an average fielder at best. He is a depth guy that most teams would only call up due to injury outbreaks. Finding a long term SS should be high on the priority list in the offseason.

Recent Marlins minor league transactions, c/o Baseball America, from the 3rd-9th:
-Signed SS Cleuluis Rondon, late of the White Sox. He's with A+ Jupiter after spending his 2017 with the ChiSox organization in AA.
-Another round of cuts: RHP Eliezer Cuello (pitched for GCL and Batavia this year after starting in 2014 with DSL); RHP Kevin Guzman (has not pitched this year; threw 27 innings for Greensboro last year); C Welbin Bautista (also has not played in 2017; started w/DSL in 2015 and played for DSL & GCL last year); 3B J.J. Gould (24th round pick in 2016; was hitting just .155 in 181 at-bats in Jupiter this year); OF Jeremias Pineda (hit .229 in Jacksonville this year; already latched on with a team in the Mexican League); OF Zach Daly (37th round pick last year, hit .200 in 25 at-bats in Batavia this year).
