Not to mention, I think we have 6-7 spots on the 40-man just open.

That Kolek statline is incredibly worrisome. 5 walks, 2 K's. Maybe they're tweaking his delivery or something (I remember hearing they had him throwing almost all fastballs). 4.47 ERA and just hasn't produced like a #2 overall pick should, regardless of what his age is. There is definite concern that Kolek is likely going to have to repeat Greensboro next season.

Stone Garrett and KJ Woods continue to be our most productive minor league hitters this season. Both will get tested at the next level (Like I've said before, if Woods can post an .800+ OPS in Jupiter he becomes our #1 overall prospect next year).

            - - - - - - - - - -

Justin Twine batting .321 the past week. He's obviously has a long long way to go, but it's good to see him have a good stretch.

Austin Brice now has an ERA of over 5.50 in two of his last three seasons, and an ERA over 4 in three of his last four. He strikes out a cool amount of people, but he just gets hit around far too often. I'm sure he'll repeat Jacksonville just like he did GBoro. It feels like he was a product of Jupiter's friendly confines.

Haynal's doing really well in Batavia (.868 OPS). Good to see. Four year college starter who got an immediate shot in Greensboro after being an 18th round pick and just didn't deliver. Got sent down to Batavia and still didn't deliver. Seems likely he'll see time in Greensboro before this season ends (at 23 they need to see what they have in him sooner than later).

Ellington probably wouldn't get picked in the Rule V draft. Donatello, Del Pozo, and Milroy are replaceable bullpen arms.

I think Garcia is a guarantee protection (although I thought Canha would've been an obvious one, so you never know). Pinyero too since he's the return for Haren. That's it in my opinion.
Well they have Ellington in AAA now and if he shows anything they would probably just put him on just to see what he can do.(Caminero type thing). He throws 100 and looked pretty solid in the AFL. Milroy has control problems and Donatello is replaceable. Brice could get a look but doubtful

We will know about KJ Woods next year,he will become our #1 Prospect or like ever other hitting prospect we send there,go there to die and look terrible.

Ya they did tweak Kolek's delivery and also have him on a pitch count which is why u see him pulled quick

I mean, Kolek probably shouldn't have been in Greensboro to begin with. Leaving him in extended spring training to work on mechanics and repertoire with the MiLB instructional staff and then reporting to Batavia when the NY-Penn league season started was probably the smartest move.

They're aggressive with high draft pick high schoolers but not aggressive enough with high draft pick college players. The FO has no idea how to do anything competently and this is no exception.

I'd promote him to Jupiter regardless next season. His numbers are more likely to improve there for a variety of reasons and it will make him appear a better prospect to other teams when we need to upgrade the team in July next year. And then you have him repeat Jupiter if he still isn't excelling.

Small sample for sure, but Barranclough looks dominant so far.

Encouraging. I'm sure we will see him next month when rosters expand.

Jupiter doesn't play today, so I would assume Brigham will make his debut tomorrow. Last started on the 29th (and only threw 2.1 cause they pulled him for the deal).

Who knows what this FO will do. The Guzman kid they got who was putting up decent numbers they sent to the GCL(Prolly roster size issue)

Also guess Justin Cohen is done for the year,he was put on the 60 Day DL
