Uh...does that stat line say that Nick Wittgren had a stolen base? That's amazing.

Clearly the sign we needed to promote him to the bigs.

So Justin Cohen was our 6th round pick this draft. Straight out of high school too. Only 53 AB's, but he's batting .321 with an .882 OPS. If we're going to raise the praises of the likes of Naylor/Garrett, Cohen seems deserving of the same praise thus far.

Based on the article when we drafted him the team is looking for another Realmuto situation in Cohen. BA had him ranked 290th going into the draft (taken 176)

RJ Peace with a 1.01 ERA in his 26 2/3 IP (13th round pick). His BB/K ratio isn't great thus far though.

Would have gone to USC if he didn't sign. Great baseball name.

Humberto Mejia has a 1.99 ERA in the Dominican league (10 starts). Numbers look good. Probably going to have to prove himself in Batavia next year before jumping to Gboro and becoming a legitimate prospect if he is successful.

Shoemaker is hitting .311/.440/.656 vs. LHP this season. Get him up here and platoon him with Bour at 1B.

Ellington/Pinyero/Jarlin Garcia all Rule 5 Eligible

Peace/Paddack/McKay all off to nice starts in GCL. The youngest arm(17) Alberto Guerrero is as well

DSL has a few nice arms in Humberto Mejia,Javier Garcia,Luis Mojica and Manuel Rodriguez. All 4 are 17/18. This is what pisses u off tho about us,we get some pretty good guys for not spending big bucks. Just imagine if we did spend the cash what we could get

Kyle Barraclough has pitched 3 innings at Jacksonville. He's allowed 1 hit, 1 BB and has 6K. It would be cool if he can become a useful bullpen arm. Chris Reed was just called up too. Hopefully he (and Ege) can pitch well and replace Dunn next year.

We will never replace Mike Dunn!!!

2 arms that may factor in the pen next year were just promoted to AAA tho- Blake Logan and Tyler Bremer

Bremer from the Jacob Turner trade...it would be funny if we ended up with the better end of that one. We don't seem to have a shortage of possible quality bullpen arms for the future....at least we seem to have a lot of prospect depth in one area.

I'd have to imagine Garcia/Pinyero/Brice are the players they will look to protect. There's a few guys we have on the 40 man roster who should be no problems taking off.

Ellington probably wouldn't get picked in the Rule V draft. Donatello, Del Pozo, and Milroy are replaceable bullpen arms.

I think Garcia is a guarantee protection (although I thought Canha would've been an obvious one, so you never know). Pinyero too since he's the return for Haren. That's it in my opinion.
