Okay, let me ask you then. If you don't think there is a big difference between Greg Maddux and some guy making league minimum, then why didn't you just trade Maddux and go with the cheaper guy instead of trading for money so you can keep him?

It was also a point of pride. I have had a problem from the beginning with the cap being this low because I've said from the beginning that it somewhat hinders my drafting strategy. I had literally 0 idea whether or not I'd get in under the cap when drafting, and I wanted to keep the team I drafted together.
My point in them not being that different is that if you really think it unbalances the league for me to have Maddux instead of, like, my AAA starter, and you're going to bring up collusion and cheating, then I'll undo the trade. It's less of a big deal for me to keep my guy than it apparently is for you. It's not worth keeping him if people are going to make veiled accusations of cheating.poop

You asked if it was not a big difference, why he didn't just take the lesser option?
Why take the lesser option when you dont need to?
I like Ribeye and Porterhouse steaks, but I like ribeyes more. If everyone is given a porterhouse and is told that they can give up a small piece of a future strip steak and receive a ribeye, I'll do it even though there is not a big difference between ribeye and porterhouse for me.

I get that you want to keep your team and keep your best players but I know I made sacrifices and I'm sure everyone else did too but we did it under cap.

I got under the cap too, within the rules.
Like I said, you seem much more adamant about this than me. If you really think I'm taking advantage so egregiously of the system then we'll redo the fucking trade.
There seem to be two people out of 22 (?) who have a problem with it, and if you guys had been reading the rules from the beginning, you'll know that the idea of trading for cap allowances has been talked about from the very beginning. You should have brought up your objections then.
If this upsets you so much, I really, really hope you don't watch the NBA or NFL ever.poop

And BobBob, why didn't you read the rest of the post. You have the debate skills of a convict. Don't attack the issue, attack the person. Great job.
Here is is again--On a side thought, I agree with Mbaa, the cap should be firm--with no grey area. You work with what you have, and if you can't make it work, trade to get under.
Just the way I see it. It is a advantage to work with 5 million more in cap. 5 Million in this league will make a big difference with such a low cap number.
I knew the rule, and I still made decisions to get under the cap. The point is you didn't. Its almost like your playing with house money at the casino.

If this rule existed from the start, you guys didn't necessarily have to make what you perceived to be sacrifices and you could have taken an extra guy you wanted more than some cheaper labor and attempted to make a trade get you to where you needed to be as far as the cap is concerned. You absolutely could have taken the rule into account for your draft strategy.

You brought no new point into the dicussion, you reiterated what MBa had said numerous times (and which I had responded to numerous times) but mostly just used it as an excuse to pull your whole "woe is me everyone is so mean to me" crap. It's old. Like I said, if you think PWG is so unfair to you, then quit.
You guys are acting like I operated outside of the rules. Like only people who came out under 75 mil operated under the rules. That's completely untrue. I knew the rules as well, and my team is legal under the rules established at the outset of the league. If you had a problem with this rule, it could have been brought up a while ago.poop
