Maybe we should lock him up as our long term third baseman.

I would actually be content with helms and a couple other trash bin players battle for 3rd base to start the season next year.

Josh Johnson is so good that he is getting all kinds of face time on the ESPN ticker.

It was hot as fucking ballz out there and the dude pitched his ass off. Impressive.

Not to far fetched to say he deserves the Cy Young award either.

His WHIP is now below 1. Awesome.

The only thing going against him in that is a man named Ubaldo Jimenez. Unless he starts choking or gets hurt, the Cy Young is pretty much his to lose.

                          Ubaldo's WHIP: 1.00

                          JJ's: 0.98

                            Jimenez: 13-1, 1.15 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 2.93 FIP, 2.44 K/BB

                            Johnson: 8-2, 1.80 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 2.57 FIP, 3.42 K/BB

The underlying numbers show that Johnson has pitched better. But that gaudy record of Ubaldo is going to be hard to beat.

Oh there's no doubt that if the season ended today Ubaldo would run away with it.

Cy Young voting is the dumb
