    8/28 Standings

    NL East
    HTML Code:
TEAM WIN LOSS GB E# REMAINING

    PHI 73 52 --- --- 37
    FLA 67 60 7.0 30 35
    ATL 67 60 7.0 30 35
    NL Wild Card
    HTML Code:
TEAM WIN LOSS GB E# REMAINING

    COL 72 56 --- --- 34
    SFG 69 59 3.0 32 34
    FLA 67 60 4.5 31 35
    ATL 67 60 4.5 31 35
    Two observations:
    • I suck at converting tables to here
    • After a 5-1 road trip, we now only have three teams ahead of us. We definitely have to think the team has impressed enough to warrant significant overtures at adding bats

    Tonight's Games
    COL (Jimenez) vs NYM (Perez)
LAD (Wolf) vs STL (Carpenter) [ESPN]
    WSH (Stammen) vs MIL (Suppan)
    HOU (Rodriguez) vs CHC (Zambrano)
    PIT (Maholm) vs SFG (Lincecum)

Wild Card leaders go on the road to Citi Field (here's hoping that the Mets help us out), but St. Louis and San Francisco both have strong pitchers for them at home. Here's hoping the Brew Crew and Astros drop past the five game threshold by Friday and dump players.

God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Here's to hoping Josh Willingham stays hot and the Nats continue to not be the worst team ever (4-7 home trip!)

Win 40 more games and we got a good shot at winning this thing.

                    That's 40 wins out of 63 games = .635 Winning %

I think it can be done.

Need to avoid getting swept. One long losing streak and it becomes almost impossible to win the WC.
