NEW YORK -- Baseball analyst Tim McCarver says he will step down from his position at Fox after this season.

McCarver said on a conference call Wednesday he had told the network he will not try to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the 2013 season.
Tim, as a going away present to baseball fans, try and convince Joe Buck to join you.

If you watch games from the 80s, McCarver was actually good at his job. Same goes with Chris Berman in the 90s calling baseball games.

Berman wasn't good in the 90s, you were just younger.

I didn't watch baseball in the 90s. I've seen games he's called during the 90s in the aughts.

Yup. He was good with the Mets.
