Red Sox apparently are SUPER desperate for outfielders. Marlon Byrd has confirmed that he's been traded to the Red Sox. Apparently the Cubs are paying most of the $6.5 million of Byrd's salary and getting Michael Bowden and a PTBNL. The deal will be officially announced after the Red-Sox game is over.

Byrd is 3-43 (.070) so far this season with 3 singles.
