  • I'm just getting annoyed this is taking so long at this point, let alone whatever production he may (not) produce.

But I can say, that if the Cubs really are interested, that makes me feel "a little" better about him because Theo is certainly light years ahead of the scouting curve and if he sees value in this signing, this guy may be as advertised. I can't give that same confidence to Team Samson.

    • I am 50/50 on Cespedes. I want him because there's a lot of potential but I don't because I have a gut feeling he will be a bust.

I am not a fan of Boni in CF either, I prefer Cogz.

      • U prefer Cogz in center? Really?? Boner just on speed alone can make up for bad routes taken to the ball. Cogz has to take a damn near perfect route to the ball every time to make a average play in the gap.

          • Any time you can get an inferior player in the lineup, you gotta do it.

            • The latest:

According to Jim Bowden of ESPN.com and MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM, Yoenis Cespedes who is expected to travel to the United States within the next 7-10 days for face-to-face meetings with MLB teams.
Bowden hears that six clubs are seriously negotiating with Cespedes' agent Adam Katz, including the Marlins, Cubs, White Sox, Orioles, Tigers and one unnamed team. Katz told Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com on Monday that the market for the 26-year-old is "meaningful and aggressive" and that he expects his client to be in spring training with an MLB club. Cespedes was granted free agency by MLB last Wednesday.

                • It's the SK Wyverns. They're hoping Cespedes doesn't look up the dollar/won exchange rate.

So where do they take Cespedes to eat? I'll assume a Cuban restaurant? Lol

Cheezberge con papitas, kachu y un pie de manzana del macdonal.

Honestly though, where do you take this guy to eat? He's been in DR for a couple of months and they actually have food there, unlike Cuba. Do you take him to Morton's to eat a monster steak or do you take him to Joe's to eat some fish, crabs etc.

                          • I actually would take him for Cuban food and show him how at home he will feel

God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Remember, what we consider "cuban food" isn't really what they eat in Cuba.
