I stopped trying to watch Red Sox-Yanks games years ago. They're almost never entertaining. It's inherent in the style they play.

It's seriously terrible. My brother keeps walking in here to see whats happening and asks somewhat jokingly if its the same batter up as it was when he came in 5 minutes ago. It usually is.

Also, Red Sox fans celebrate weird. They (at least two people in the stadium at the same time!) lift both arms into the air above their heads, throw one all the way up, bring it down while throwing the other all the way up, etc. etc.

But yeah, this shit is just boring.

There's a good chance that when the Yankees are batting, you can say let's see if the next pitch happens within two minutes and then the catcher walks in circles for no good reason for 30 seconds and then the pitcher attempts a pick off move three times.

I like that Red Sox fans are booing Crawford being IBB'd, even though Josh Reddick is next and is on fire (0/4 tonight though)

I like how all the tv guys bitch about how long the games are. If it's so terrible, stop airing them. Otherwise, shut up.

Not saying they're not right, but sounds awful coming from them.

By this point, you have to know that games involving the Yankees and Red Sox are always agonizingly long.

It's part of what makes them such good baseball teams, because they were opposing pitchers down and take a lot of pitches and are generally good ball players, but it's also boring as hell.

I've always thought the "Classic NL" style of baseball, with the sacrifices and stolen bases and slap hitters and what not, while being tactically inferior, is the most entertaining product. I hate when my team relies on it too much, but it's more fun to watch.
